We’re thrilled to extend our heartfelt thanks to the esteemed gentlemen from Knights of Columbus St. Mary’s Council 8611! On April 9th, we had the privilege of hosting them for a special occasion: a generous donation of $2,000 to the Grandview Kids Foundation. Their support is truly inspiring!
During their visit, we had the pleasure of showing them around our headquarters in Oshawa and discussing the exciting progress of Grandview Kids’ new facility in Ajax. Their interest and generosity mean the world to us. Thanks to remarkable donors like the incredible gentleman at St. Mary’s Council 8611, the Grandview Kids Foundation can support the work of Grandview Kids so that children and youth in the Durham Region can live, learn and play.
Thank you, St. Mary’s Council 8611!

Sylvia’s Ride: A Day of Laughter, Giving & Fun!
Durham Divas’ 15th Annual Sylvia’s Ride was a success! An abundance of joy was shared and celebrated throughout the day, with a silent auction, raffle prizes, lunch, music, and a charity poker run. Grandview Kids’ ambassador family, Colin, Natasha & Alden Mills, joined the Durham Divas Motorcycle Group and its supporters for Sylvia’s Ride with a beautiful speech and had loads of fun in the process! Grandview Kids Foundation’s team member, Lisa Pargetter, also had the privilege to attend Durham Divas Bike Night on June 7th for a cheque presentation.
Thanks to Durham Divas and their supporters, Sylvia’s Ride raised $2,500 for Grandview Kids!
Grandview Kids Foundation expresses its gratitude to the Durham Divas for their unwavering support through their remarkable annual event, Sylvia’s Ride. We are immensely grateful to the exceptional individuals that generously contributed to the success of Sylvia’s Ride, as well as to all the businesses who assisted in this year’s event. Rotary Club of Port Perry Gives $10,000!
The Grandview Kids Foundation and Port Perry Satellite location teams were lucky to meet with the Rotary Club of Port Perry on Monday, June 5th, for a Cheque Presentation! While visiting the Port Perry Satellite location, the Rotary Club of Port Perry was given a walk-through of all of the wonderful services offered at the facility for children and youth in Port Perry.
The Rotary Club of Port Perry graciously came together to donate an astounding $10,000 to Grandview Kids Foundation! It is through remarkable individuals, clubs, and community members such as the Rotary Club of Port Perry that Grandview Kids Foundation can support the children and youth that walk through Grandview’s doors every day. Thank you North Oshawa Lions Club
Peter and Carolyn from the North Oshawa Lions Club stopped by Grandview Kids yesterday to make their annual donation to support kids in Durham with physical, communication and developmental needs.

The Durham Divas — Part of the Grandview Family!
Like many other groups, the Durham Divas Motorcycle Group was forced to make an unfortunate cancellation in 2020. Because of the pandemic, they were unable to go ahead with the 13th Annual Sylvia’s Ride in support of Grandview Kids. That didn’t stop them from adding to the $27,335 cumulative donation they have made over the last several years.
We are so glad to have the incredible sisterhood of Divas as part of the Grandview family of donors. Although their major fundraising event was cancelled this year, they still used a portion of membership dues and 50/50 draws to to make a donation of $1,500 to Grandview Kids. Group President, Kim and Founding Member/Events Coordinator Lisa stopped by the Centre last week to safely present their gift.
“The kids [at Grandview] still need the help,” says Lisa. “We know this doesn’t change because of COVID-19.”
The Durham Divas Motorcycle Group was formed in 2004 and is currently the longest running established women’s riding group in Southern Ontario. After the sudden death of one of its founding members in 2006, Sylvia’s Ride was created as a way to give back to the community in her memory. After helping many women and children’s organizations in Durham over the years, the event now offers exclusive support to Grandview Kids.
“The vote among our members was unanimous that we stick with Grandview,” says Kim. “When my kids were young I would walk them here and my kids would play with your kids in the playground for years. I’ve always been a supporter of [Grandview Kids].”
Thank you to the Durham Divas for being such loyal and caring members of the Grandview family. We are so grateful to have your support year after year.
