We’re pleased to have the chance to highlight the incredible support that TD Bank Group has offered to Grandview Kids over the years. Back in 2015, these loyal friends made a $200,000 commitment toward building and supporting the New Grandview. They’ve also sponsored and participated in many of our fundraising events over the years, helping to provide life-changing therapy to many children and youth in Durham.
This past July, TD Bank Group made another one-time donation of $10,000 to help children and youth at Grandview Kids to live life to their full potential. When asked what prompted this generous gift, Blayre Parsons, Associate, Community Banking & External Events, had this to say:
“Our communities need us now more than ever in light of the pandemic. We are providing funding to Grandview Kids to ensure that our communities remain resilient and those most vulnerable are taken care of.”
It’s reassuring to have loyal friends like TD Bank Group who have stood by our side during the uncertainty of this pandemic. We are also pleased to have TD representatives sit on our Board of Directors and other fundraising committees.
The TD Ready Commitment signifies a desire by TD Bank Group to work together for a more inclusive tomorrow, giving everyone the chance to succeed in a changing world. TD is currently focused on supporting virtual and remote engagement opportunities throughout the pandemic by providing its employees with volunteer opportunities, and grants for volunteerism that they can direct to the organization of their choice.
TD Bank Group supports Grandview Kids under their Connected Communities – Local Needs pillars which aims to help groups who are vulnerable to social isolation to build connections in their community.
