Oshawa residents, Danielle Cassidy and Justine Bateman, have been friends since high school, and also ended up marrying two brothers and becoming sister-in-laws. After giving birth to two boys each, they now have a beautiful extended family, full of big personalities and loving hearts.
Inspired by their desire to create a better future for their boys, Danielle and Justine formed their company, AREA Apparel (AREA is the first initial of each of their boys’ names) which spreads awareness of the anti-bullying movement by creating and selling unique “pink shirts”. Response was so good that they’ve now expanded into custom lake-wear and holiday-wear.
Danielle and Justine have committed to donating 10% of annual proceeds to support Grandview Kids, meaning that each shirt sold makes a big difference in the lives of children and youth in Durham Region. Our foundation was so grateful to recently receive their first contribution of $1,000. We look forward to a great partnership with this generous group.
The kind support of AREA Apparel will help to make paediatric and rehabilitation services available to kids with physical, communication and developmental needs. Thanks to Danielle and Justine’s generosity, more children and youth in their community will have the support they need to live life to their full potential
