Elexicon Energy (Elexicon) and Grandview Kids Foundation are pleased to announce our second Dream Big, Dream Brighter fundraising event raised $42,330 for Grandview Kids Foundation.
The fundraising awards dinner, held at Royal Ashburn Golf Club in Whitby on November 2nd, was the second of a multi-year partnership between Elexicon and Grandview Kids Foundation. The evening included special guest speaker Mike Shoreman, a mental health support advocate, best-selling author, endurance athlete and the subject of the recently released award-winning documentary, When Hope Breaks Through, by filmmaker Matthew Wagner.
The culmination of the evening was presenting the Elexicon Energy Spirit of Grandview Kids Awards to Andrew Neufeld and Amanda Power. Andrew and Amanda were selected from a group of nominees for their values, perseverance to achieve their goals, and drive to make the future a brighter and better place.
Grandview Kids Foundation is driven to raise the funds needed to support the programs and services offered at Grandview Kids. We are continually inspired by our communities’ compassion, and Elexicon Energy has played a crucial role in our mission. We are eternally grateful for Elexicon, and their passion to recognize and uplift the amazing clients and graduates of Grandview Kids,” Brigitte Tschinkel, Executive Director of Grandview Kids Foundation remarks. “This evening was brought together by an outstanding set of volunteers and staff members, as well as our charitable sponsors. We send our deep appreciation to each individual and corporation who made this event happen. I am honoured to have witnessed our beloved winners, Andrew and Amanda, accept this year’s Elexicon Energy Spirit of Grandview Kids awards. They are the perfect example of what it means to have the Grandview Kids “Sparkle” that we adore. We believe in your future, Andrew and Amanda, and it will be so bright.”
We have been, and will forever be, committed to supporting the most vulnerable in our communities and the vital agencies that serve and support them, like Grandview Kids,” said Indrani Butany, President and CEO of Elexicon Energy. “This year’s award recipients, Andrew and Amanda, are demonstrating what it means to dream big and dream bright.
