Fundraising Toolkit

Creating a customized fundraising page will allow you to upload photos and logos and provide you with email and letter templates to help you with your fundraising efforts. Your supporters will also have the opportunity to donate to your fundraiser directly through your fundraising page. The Grandview Kids Foundation is driven to support you in your fundraising endeavour. This page is designed to deliver everything you need to succeed in supporting the Foundation!

Promoting your event

1. Social media

The Grandview Kids Foundation has social media profiles on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter). The Foundation utilizes these channels to communicate with generous donors, Grandview Kids clients and families, volunteers, staff and the general public.

2. Marketing materials

After drafting your event marketing and promotional materials, please send them for review to the Foundation staff to ensure consistency with our brand guidelines. These materials and messaging are key to the success of your event, and we would like our partnership to be as successful as possible.

3. Press release

If you plan to prepare a press release, please connect with the Foundation’s Communication and Digital Marketing Coordinator, Kelsey Cluett. Kelsey can assist you in crafting your message and will provide you with appropriate Grandview Kids and the Grandview Kids Foundation language.

Collecting donations

The Grandview Kids Foundation requests that you collect all monies related to your event and submit them to the Grandview Kids Foundation within 60 days of your fundraising event. Charitable receipts will be issued within four weeks of that date (if applicable). Please refer to the Government of Canada’s tax-receipting guidelines to see which gifts can be receipted.

Cheque presentations

The Foundation is happy to arrange a cheque presentation with you and your supporters to celebrate your success. The Foundation team will take photos to share with your supporters. The Foundation will include them on our social media accounts, on our website and in our monthly e-newsletter, Believe by the Grandview Kids Foundation. Cheque presentations can occur at any of our Grandview Kids locations, including the Foundation’s current headquarters in Oshawa, new headquarters in Ajax or our satellite sites in Bowmanville, Whitby, Port Perry or Oshawa.
