Let’s Make Superheroes Together
Grandview mom, Lisa, is also an amazing animation artist who works on cartoons. She’d like to offer a fun challenge to everyone in the Grandview community – turn an everyday kid into a SUPERHERO!
You’ll need a black or dark coloured pencil, pen or marker.
Print one or all of the Character sheets by clicking on the links below*:
*If you don’t have a printer, you can also take a screenshot of the image on your phone or iPad and then use your favourite editing or drawing software or app to create your superhero.
Follow along on Lisa’s video below to create your own superhero masterpiece. We’ll share our finished drawings with each other on social media (Grandview Children’s Foundation) on April 15th.
We’re Still Available During the COVID-19 Shut-Down
As you may have already heard, all Grandview Children’s Centre sites have been closed, and all services cancelled until April 6, 2020 out of concern for the health and safety of our clients and staff. This decision will be reviewed each day with emerging information, and Grandview staff will stay in direct contact with Grandview kids and their families.
During this time of closure, the Grandview Children’s Foundation will continue to operate remotely. Our staff members will each be available to you by email or phone if you have any questions, concerns, or wish to discuss your past or future contributions to our campaign.
We are so grateful to have the support of our caring community during this difficult time. Our Foundation remains committed to raising the funds that will help children and youth with physical, communication, and developmental needs to live life to their full potential. Thanks again for all that you do for Grandview Kids. We greatly appreciate your continued understanding and friendship and will keep you updated on any news as we move ahead.
Wishing you safety and health in the days ahead!
Friends of Grandview For 24 Years!
Thank you to the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa for being such a good friend to Grandview Kids for the past 24 years. This caring organization is part of an all-Canadian National Community Service group dedicated to serving the greatest need in their local community through volunteering and fundraising events.
Since they began offering their support, the Kinsmen Club of Oshawa has donated a total of $17,000 to help Grandview kids live life to their full potential. We are so grateful for this incredible generosity. Because of you, more children and youth will be empowered for tomorrow.
Thank you for believing in Grandview Kids!
Durham Region Association of REALTORS is Changing Lives . . . THANK YOU!
We had a very special visit to the Centre on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020. Members of the Durham Region Association of REALTORS (DRAR) came by to present Grandview Kids with a generous donation for $41,477.98. This gift was raised through their Annual Christmas Dinner & Charity Auction.
We are SO GRATEFUL to this very caring group for choosing to give back to their community by helping children and youth in Durham Region to live life to their full potential.
Unstoppable Grandview kids Owen and Lauren were also on hand to surprise this incredible group with a beautiful homemade card. Their huge smiles signalled just how much of a difference this contribution will make a in the lives of Grandview families.
Thank you to all the generous members of DRAR who helped to raise donations for the Charity Auction. With your help, more Grandview kids will be able to live their best life. You are truly amazing!
